Made to Make was built around a simple idea: kids need more opportunities to make things with their hands.
Through hands-on workshops and creative Labs, young artists explore real materials, learn new techniques, and turn their ideas into something tangible.
From painting and printmaking to clay and whatever comes next, the focus is on experimenting, creating, and building confidence through the process.
It isn't about making everything perfect. It's about learning by making.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Kylee
I'm Kylee McDaniel, a Maryland-certified art educator and the founder of Made to Make. I created Made to Make after seeing how much students grow when they're given the freedom to experiment, take creative risks, and make something that is genuinely their own.
In the classroom, I've taught students across painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, and other hands-on processes. That experience shapes every Made to Make program.
My goal is simple: give young artists quality materials, real art techniques, thoughtful guidance, and enough freedom to discover what they can make.
